Frequently Asked Qustions regarding Register Member/Approved Applicants status.

Q.  What does “Are you a RedR Australia member” on the training application form mean?

A.  A person is considered a RedR Australia member if they have been formally accepted as a RedR Register member, by letter.  This normally happens after a person has completed the mandatory EHP and PSC training, and been successful at the final interview.  Some applicants were accepted as Members prior to completing training, in years pre-2005.  These are eligible for training, but will not be deployed on mission until the mandatory courses have been completed.  Members of Engineers Australia are not automatically considered ‘members’ of RedR Australia.  Members of RedR UK or other affiliates are not automatically considered ‘members’ of RedR Australia.

Q.  What does “Register Members/Approved Applicants” mean on the course fees table?

A.  A person who is applying to be part of RedR’s emergency deployment Register, who has lodged an application form and CV, and has been successfully recommended after the telephone interview, is considered an Applicant for course fee purposes.  Individuals who have not been phone interviewed and recommended by the interviewer as a good prospect for inclusion on the Register, are not considered Approved Applicants for the purpose of course fees.  Register members, as per the description above, are also offered the Applicant rate.
