Subsidised training is available, at times, to selected staff of national NGOs, government departments and UN agencies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Why?

• Skilled and experienced local staff are needed for emergency response.
• Their local knowledge greatly helps multi-national emergency response teams, at both management and field levels.
• Selected personnel, even when primarily involved with development programmes, are called into key roles in times of disaster and emergency response.
• RedR Australia training programmes are enhanced for all by participation of people whose primary experience is in developing countries.
• Some key people could not attend without subsidy.
