Subsidised training is available to selected staff of national NGOs, government departments and UN agencies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Why ?
Skilled and experienced local staff are needed for emergency response.
Their local knowledge greatly helps multi-national emergency response teams, at both management and field levels.
Selected personnel, even when primarily involved with development programmes, are called into key roles in times of disaster and emergency response.
RedR Australia training programmes are enhanced for all by participation of people whose primary experience is in developing countries.
Some key people could not attend without subsidy.
To apply for a scholarship, tick the box when you apply for a training course, and you will be asked for additional information. The course fee is not included in the scholarship and is required to be paid at the NGO rate.
