Funding PDF Print E-mail

RedR Australia is a not-for-profit organisation. To carry out our work of selecting, training and sending experts into disaster relief situations, we receive funding from AusAID, the Australian Government’s international aid agency, our founding bodies, corporate partners, members of the community and international donors.

AusAID funds many of our field placements and subsidises the mandatory training courses for register members. Corporate and individual donations enable us to develop other essential practical training courses and offer a limited number of scholarships to regional aid organisations to make emergency response training more available to aid workers in developing countries.

In order to maximise support to our UN standby partners and other aid organisations, we seek funding to enable us to expand our programmes to select, train and send personnel to the field. Currently our work extends through the Asia-Pacific region into Southern and Eastern Africa and the Middle East and additional funding may allow us to provide more personnel and training to relief programmes in those regions and other parts of the world.
